Rick Volker: The Performances

Rick delivers artful performances in both state-of-the-art and legendary vintage aircraft:

Precision aerobatics with heart-stopping gyroscopic tumbling and hovering are presented in the world’s premier aerobatic aircraft: The Sukhoi SU-26M. You will see all of the most extreme tumbling maneuvers done explosively with complete mastery and control. In ten minutes, Rick Volker will artfully demonstrate knife-edge spins, flat spins, mulleroids, cravats, hovering, cartwheels, Lomcevaks (forward and backward) along with multiple snap-rolls. His signature rolling loop and giant cartwheel will impress even the most seasoned air show fan.

For 2009, Rick Volker continues flying a Supermarine Spitfire MkIX for the Russell Aviation Group in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Rick will be performing a surface level aerobatic act in the Spitfire at many air shows in the Northeast US and Canada. Rick will also return to fly with the Canadian Forces on the Heritage Flight team, flying the Spitfire in tight formation with the CF-18 fighter at several Canadian air shows. The Russell Group Spitfire is known to be one of the finest examples of it's type left in the world. You will see Rick demonstrate all of the RAF maneuvers taught to fighter pilots in WWII with precision and grace. With a 1700 hp Merlin engine, this performance has to be seen and heard to be believed. Visit the Russell Aviation Group website at: www.therussellgroupairshow.com
